Production Fitter

We are seeking dynamic & motivated individuals to join our production team, to perform mechanical/electrical assembly and light fabrication work on electrical switchboards.

No electrical experience required.

Successful applicants will have:

  • Experience with hand and power tools, e.g. drills, grinders, saws
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong work ethic – ability to maintain a fast and consistent pace
  • Light fabrication & basic welding skills an advantage
  • Experience in factory environment an advantage.
  • All tools and training provided.

Tasks will include:

  • Assembly of sheetmetal cabinets after powdercoating
  • Fitting of chassis, doors, brackets, bus bars etc
  • Preparing cabinets for powdercoating
  • Assembly of switchgear onto geartrays ready for wiring
  • Basic electrical wiring and assembly
  • Modifying cabinets and fitting switchgear and labels
  • Light fabrication tasks in aluminum, stainless, mild steel and perspex
  • Various sundry production tasks such as building pallets and crates, continuous improvement projects, etc
