Sales Engineer

We are seeking a Sales Engineer to assist in maintaining and growing existing key accounts and driving new business growth from target prospects. Supported by estimating and customer service team.


  • Drive quote revenue to meet growth targets

  • Strong people skills and ability to build trust and rapport
  • High energy & enthusiastic passion for sales
  • Self-managed, highly driven & proactive. Takes complete responsibility for sales KPIs.
  • Thirst for learning & self-improvement
  • Technically minded with high IQ (>120), in order to gain a good working knowledge of a technical product
  • Ideally some experience or knowledge of electrical systems or industrial automation


  • Needs analysis, creating and executing presentations to demonstrate our ability to meet specific customer needs
  • Quote follow-up and order closing – Build trust with customers throughout the pre-sale process in order to continually close new sales
  • Seek/generate new quoting opportunities: follow-up qualified prospects and build relationships through phone, F2F visits, email, Skype/Zoom, etc
  • Lead generation: qualify new prospects to increase database size, seek and follow project opportunities
  • Visit relevant industry trade shows to meet & greet with existing and potential customers and build trust in the industry
  • Requoting/estimating if/as required (mostly done by others)
  • Other sales & marketing activities as required within team
  • Assist in developing and continuously improving sales processes, scripts and tools to improve ROI
